Bock beer is a traditional beer style with historical origins dating back to Einbeck, Germany. The name "bock" is derived from the town's name, and Bock beers are known for their rich, malty character and relatively high alcohol content. This style of beer has a long history and a strong association with German brewing traditions.

Both cans and bottles had their own advantages and were widely used by craft breweries for packaging their beer. The choice between cans and bottles often depended on various factors, including the type of beer, the brewery's branding and marketing strategy, and consumer preferences. Cans have made significant progress in the craft beer industry. The big advantage is a lot less weight and very important for export. The trend among consumers is to keep trying new beers, preferably from all over the world. Nowadays, even in the smaller specialty beer cafes you can get the most special craft beers from all corners of the world. Preventing weight and damaged packaging is therefore a major challenge for brewers. Cans has a big advantage here. When it comes to the presentation and aging of beer, there is still some discussion and understandable because we don't yet know how a can with Lambic in it has held up after 20 years? In addition, during a tasting or a special occasion it is nice to drink from a large bottle. Cans certainly have the future, but for aging beer and sour beers I am curious whether cans are the right choice! From the glass bottle we know.

Aging beer refers to the process of storing beer for an extended period of time to allow it to mature and develop more complex flavors and aromas. The length of time and the conditions under which the beer is stored can significantly impact its taste and quality.
There were concerns and discussions within the craft beer industry about the potential for large breweries to acquire smaller craft brewers. This trend had been occurring for several years prior to 2021, and it raised questions about the impact of such acquisitions on the craft beer landscape.
Large breweries, often referred to as "big beer," had been acquiring craft breweries for various reasons, including gaining access to the growing craft beer market and diversifying their product portfolios. These acquisitions sometimes led to concerns among craft beer enthusiasts about the potential loss of the independent and artisanal spirit of craft brewing.
The COVID-19 pandemic had created challenges for many businesses, including craft breweries. Some small and independent craft breweries faced financial difficulties and closures due to the pandemic-related disruptions in the hospitality and distribution sectors. This could have potentially made some craft brewers more vulnerable to acquisition by larger companies looking to expand their market share.
However, the craft beer industry is known for its resilience and creativity. Many craft brewers found innovative ways to adapt to the challenges posed by the pandemic, such as offering online sales, curbside pickup, and delivery services. Some craft breweries received community support, which helped them weather the storm.
It's important to note that the craft beer industry is dynamic, and trends can change rapidly. To understand the current state of the industry and whether there has been an increase in acquisitions by big breweries since my last update in September 2021, it would be advisable to consult recent news articles, industry reports, and statements from craft beer associations or organizations.
